Review: Gluten Free Muffin-in-a-Cup Mixes from Wheat Free Market
I grew up in a home that paired just about every meal with a bottle of sparkling water (or fizzy water, as my father calls it). For many years, I hardly drank any ‘still’ water and favored certain flavors of the ‘fizzy water’ after giving up juice and soda. More recently, I stopped buying all those flavored options because I knew that there was nothing real about the flavors these bottles were trying to mimic. The solution?
I give you Ayala’s sparkling Herbal Water! If you don’t know about it, then you should especially if you love sparkling water. The reason is that Herbal Water, created by Dr. Ayala, elevates your typical sparkling water experience to one that is pleasing to your taste buds thanks to real herbs. (Yes, I did just say ‘herbs’!)
The reason that these herbs are such a big deal is that they offer your mouth something to get excited about (your water won’t be boring!) and they can aid your body in various ways to be more healthy. It’s easily a win-win for your palette and health goals. Plus, these waters and ALL ingredients are gluten-free (I did ask them just for you!)
And then you’ll want more… I’m not kidding! I was lucky enough to indulge in all four sparkling flavors (Cinnamon Orange Peel, Ginger Lemon Peel, Lemongrass Mint Vanilla and Lavender Mint) and when the bottles were all empty, I’ve pondered where and when I can buy more. Though I have to admit that my favorite is Lemongrass Mint Vanilla, hands down!
The flavors of each are the perfect amount of subtle and substantial – meaning you’ve got something with flavor that isn’t anywhere near soda. However, you don’t miss the sugar that isn’t added…in fact there’s no sweetener added to any of these. They’re simply filtered sparkling water and organic herbs. Even my non-sparkling-water-drinking, soda-preferring husband found himself very pleasantly surprised by the flavors.
Ayala’s sparking Herbal Water is incredibly refreshing and nicely compliments whatever meal you pair them with. Plus I can’t forget to mention the bottles which are beautifully colored to accentuate the flavors (might not matter to you, but my love of good design and use of color compel me to give a nice shout out to the Herbal Water design department).
